Cooking Instructions

When you’re craving a big, juicy burger with smoky, bacon flavor, there’s only one answer: a Pepper Jack Bacon Burger on a Pit Boss Pellet Grill. This easy recipe serves 7 hungry people. Leave your guests’ bellies full and satisfied with 3 lbs of grilled ground chuck and cheesy, bacon goodness.

The pepper jack cheese gives this burger a subtle, spicy kick. You’ll want to get a good quality brand of cheese, so those peppery flavors are nice and pronounced, yet balanced by the creamy, jack cheese. Now imagine that mixed with crispy bacon and a deliciously tender burger and you have one heck of a dish.

Note: It is recommended to use Mesquite Hardwood Pellets with this recipe.

  1. Start your Pit Boss Grill on ''smoke'' with the lid open until a fire is established in the burn pot (3-7 minutes). Preheat to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground chuck, garlic, onion, and pepper. Separate the beef mixtures into about 7 equal bundles and form hamburger patties.
  3. Brush the grate with oil, then add the patties and grill them on about 5-8 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove the burgers from the grill. On the bottom half of the burger bun, add two tomato slices, top with a slice of pepper jack cheese, add the patty,
  5. Place another slice of cheese on top, add two slices of bacon and top it off with the other half of the burger bun and serve.
