1 Crescent Dough, Can

1 Egg

1 tsp Garlic, Minced

20 Hot Dog, Mini

1/4 Cup Mustard, Dijon

1 tbsp Onion, Diced

2 tbsp Poppy Seeds

1 tsp Salt, Coarse



Cooking Instructions


You don’t have to be a master chef to bake mini hot dogs wrapped in pastry. This easy pigs in a blanket recipe uses prepackaged crescent rolls which are available at any grocery store or supermarket. Bake a delicious appetizer on your Pit Boss Pellet Grill or Smoker and serve at any party or during a big Sunday sports event.

Note: It is recommended to use Hickory Hardwood Pellets with this recipe.

  1. Turn on your and preheat to 350°F. Combine the poppy seeds, dried minced onion, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough, pull apart the triangles and slice each segment into three little triangle pieces. Try to get 3 strips for each roll for the mini hot dogs.
  3. After the strips are cut, spread some Dijon mustard on each piece of dough. Roll the dough around mini hot dogs. Lay the pigs in a blanket on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with the prepared seasoning.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, serve hot and enjoy!
